Alcohol and your kids – what can you do?

Children and young people are advised not to drink alcohol before the age of 18years.

Alcohol use during the teenage years is related to a wide range of health and social problems. However, if children do drink alcohol underage, it should not be until they are at least 15 years old because alcohol can have a huge effect on the developing brain of adolescents and in fact every system of our body.

Parents and caregivers of children may find this booklet helpful with advice about alcohol and teenagers.

  • Tips on how to delay teen drinking
  • How to be a good role model and building and maintaining a good relationship with teens.
  • What the law says
  • What to do when things go wrong.

If you are concerned about the nutritional well- being of your child then contact me today for an assessment.
