New Zealand’s Food Revolution Day May 19th

Super chef Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day is an annual global day of action that celebrates good fresh, real food.

It’s a day to shout out about the benefits of cooking from scratch.

Jamie believes that “by educating children about food in a practical, fun and engaging way we can provide them with knowledge and skills they so urgently need to lead healthier, happier lives”

This year the Food Revolution Day in the UK has just been cancelled because of the snap election called by Theresa May for June 8th. As Jamie planned to take on the government, over the marketing of junk food to children and its effects on obesity, FRD UK will need to wait for a new government to be formed.

However FRD celebrations will continue around the world and Jamie is offering up some no junk breakfast recipes that children can make to learn real cooking skills and build confidence. So get the children cracking in the kitchen.

Then post pictures of your Food Rev efforts onto our Facebook page

You can also post pictures of your healthy eating and Down with Junk Food ideas on Instagram using the hashtag:  #Foodrevolution
