And the race is on…

If you want to fit a suit or dress for a wedding, end of year ball or the races and need to shed a few kilos then it pays to start early.

On a healthy diet you can lose around 8-10kgs in 3 months and still have enough energy to enjoy the big day.

How easy you find this depends on how you manage the social events between now and the end of the year.

For instance if you are heading off to the races in a week or two, you want to have fun and still control the weight so as to fit your summer togs then here are a few hot tips for the big day:

  • Eat a substantial breakfast before you go such as an egg on toast or fruit, cereal and yoghurt.
  • Keep a track of your fluids particularly alcohol. It may help to bear in mind that every glass of juice, beer or bubbles is approximately equal to 3 slices of bread in terms of calories.  (Mind the binge drinking young ladies as it is increasing your risk of breast cancer).
  • Space out the alcohol by drinking plenty of water or lime and sodas.
  • Plan to have a healthy lunch. If you can take a picnic then that is great. Alternatively ladies pop a filled roll into your handbag and some fruit. For those with small handbags snacks such as little packets of raisins, plastic wrapped cheese slices, a couple of muesli bars and a bobby banana will give you an energy boost.

If last years New Years resolution was to shed weight this year then contact us for professional help now and get cracking.
